  6. IIt is a control panel which, combined with a series of Scheme plug-ins, can entirely change the look and colour of your Mac OS interface. It is written and designed by Greg Landweber and Arlo Rose.

  12. So how do I make it work?

  14. Run the Installer. It will install the control panel in your Control Panels folder, and a folder called Kaleidoscope Colour Schemes in your Extensions Folder. You can then add as many third-party schemes into that folder as you wish.

  16. How do I change the active scheme?

One of several ways - you can doubleclick the scheme itself in the Finder, or you can open the Control Panel itself and change scheme in the list of installed schemes, or if you installed the Control Strip module, you can change schemes from there (if you've already installed the scheme, that is).

  20. How much does Kaleidoscope cost, and why should I pay?

  22. It costs $20. It is shareware. you should pay, because it is well worth the peanuts it costs, and you will be supporting future development of Kaleidoscope. And if you don't pay, some very strange things will happen to you next time you go to the loo.
